The plan is rebranded as Retire Alberta Group Benefit Plan and will be offered to retired Alberta members as of February 1, 2019.
Retire Alberta Group Benefit Plan is offered to all fire, police, EMS, health care and education professionals, and provincial and municipal retired workers in Alberta.
"Open Enrollment period for Lethbridge, Red Deer, and Edmonton from February 1, 2019 to May 31, 2019 meaning members can start the plan with no restrictions or limitations even if they didn't come from another plan within 60 days and have pre-existing conditions. Stability periods still apply for group travel coverage."
You can join anytime if you belong to an eligible group and transfer from an equivalent plan within 60 day and have no restrictions or limitations. You can also bring your group to the plan and an Open Enrollment period may be set up for those group members.
